Our first Alaskan Solstice

HAPPY SOLSTICE!!!

We celebrated by opening our solstice presents... Dawson is finally an authentic Alaskan with his new Carharts. And Genevieve is an authentic Turk with her new Turkish bath robe, plus her wildest dreams came true when she discovered a wearable blanket under the solstice tree. And of course, we listened to our favorite seasonal holiday song Christians and Pagans, introduced to us by Jodasm. It's actually Dawson's second most favorite seasonal holiday song, after (South Park) Kenny's "The Most Offensive Song Ever."

Happy New Years from the clan Bouchee!!! We hope you have a fantastic new year on the top of the world. Thanks for the blog - very entertaining. While you're in Bethel you should get in touch with Wade Renfro. His phone is (907) 543-1954 and his website is www.alaskanadventures.info. Just tell him you got his name from Jack Chambers (Jessica's dad). Wade and his father Mike are good friends with Jack. Maybe Wade can fly you around a bit or take you in pursuit of the mighty Mulchatna caribou herd. Cheers!

It is very fun to read about your adventures. Makes Minnesota seem tame and warm!! I was impressed with the challenge of visiting the clinic and imagine it must take quite a bit of time to suit up for work when you go via snowmobiles! I admire your adventuresome spirits! Hope you visit us in sunny MN over the summer. Happy New Year. MJ
