After Work Riding

One of the beauties of the lengthening days is the ability to go on small adventures after work. Last night Rich called and we rode out to this abandoned orphanage up the Kwethluk river. Thanks to spectacular conditions, the Bravo reached it's top speed ever (50MPH), and we made the trip in just over two hours. From the orphanage, great views of the mountains abound. And so I'm super pumped about the upcoming 3 day weekend and some forays into those mountains.
Finally, here's an example of how cool the new digi cam is. This first picture is Rich on his snowmachine with no zoom, the Kwethluk village skyline in the background. The next picture is the max zoom setting. It's the kids sledding in the background of the first picture, the specks to the left of the snow machine. 12X optical zoom is awesome!
