Fur Hats

Monday was our first day of Fur Hat making class. It’s from 6:00 in the evening until 9:00 every day this week. I had my friend Beth purchase us one beaver pelt from a store in Anchorage and then Dawson decided to take the class too, so we also bought a fox fur. Here are some fun pictures of the first day’s events. On day 2, we have almost finished sewing up the outside of the hat and are working on the finishing details! We’ll have warm heads for the coming winter!




































The last picture is the new D.A. (District Attorney) Tom, and the new P.D. (Public Defender) Josh as they share a table in harmony while making their fur hats. One cool thing about Bethel is that it's such a small town that there's not much animosity between the various sides of the fence!
