OK--we may be reaching blog overkill today, but hey it's -40 out there, so it's a good way to entertain. Dawson just left on a snowmachine mission...I'm choosing to entertain myself indoors for awhile!

I wanted to add one more detail about the Chevak trip. At the clinic, they have a big sign which defines "emergency" as something requiring urgent, immediate care. Then they list the various conditions which are not considered emergency. Most of them seem relatively common sense like "Ear ache- without swelling around the ear" and "Tooth ache- with no big facial swelling". But the one that got me was "Boils smaller than a grapefruit (first time)". Now let me tell you if I had a boil even close to the size of a grapefruit, it would be an Emergency with a capital E!
