Quinhagak, Alaska

Today, Genevieve had her most successful visit to a village ever! Every flight was on time, every child was home, and the weather was perfect. Quinhagak is on the coast and yes, those are mountains in the background. It's also currently only $50 round trip to Quinhagak, so we'll be taking a day trip out there in a couple of weeks to wander around and hopefully spot some arctic foxes, which are more common near the coast.

In other exciting news, a moose has been wandering through Bethel lately. That's big, because moose are actually quite rare near here due to over-hunting. But they are on the rebound thanks to a 5 year moratorium.
